Lose weight and build muscle / tone up.

I lift heavy enough to get bigger even while losing weight muscle wise but most important is the weight loss.

I'm currently 14.12 and I'll be looking to lose a stone 13.11 ideal.

You should be on the right track with that diet then. If you're trying to build you'll need some carbs.

Eating so much red meat and no veg or carbs?

I can't function without some carbs, I try not to over do it but veg tastes crap without carbs and if you have none you end up adding fat to meals so it doesn't taste like slave food.

My usual work day diet ..............

Morning - Peanut butter Wholemeal sandwich

Lunch - Half a bowl of Bran flakes

Dinner - Chicken, 1/2 portion of rice, salad or Lamb, Baked potato, peas

1,500 cals Monday - Thursday

What do you recon? this is a gradual weight loss diet by the way hence the cal numbers.
Carnivore diet is bullshit obviously. But im vegetarian so not unbiased

1500 is a bit low imo. If you just started, start higher and see what your weight does

1500 calories is too low.

If you’re working out you can afford more than that.

I lost all my weight first then started to try and build muscle afterwards. It probably wasn't the best way to do it, but all I ate was tuna and chicken, I pretty much starved myself and did a ton of cardio, but the weight melted off within weeks. Went from 220 lbs to 180 lbs. And since have put back on about 10 to 15 lbs of mostly muscle, but a little beer too! :)

I've done this loads of times.

I work in an office so I'm sat down all day so even when I'm training it balances out.

I have a cheat day on Sunday so its not 1500 cal 7 days a week.

If I eat more than 1,500 cal Mon to Friday I'll lose hardly anything if at all.

Diets are shit.....although admittedly I could do with going on one! The key is to work out how to enjoy your food without eating too much of it and combine it it with as much exercise as you can fit in. Clearly that is easier said than done, as when I do a load of exercise I get the munchies and can't help myself!

Not sure I added much to the debate there!

I already did it last year and have done lower than that in previous years when i was younger and less patient.

1500 is my upped number.

If I have more than that I won't lose weight, I aim for around 2 lbs per week, if I can do higher than 1,500 I'd love it but I'm not sure if it would work, I know that I lose nothing on 2,000 per day for example and put on weight anything north of that so I'm definitely in the right area figures wise.

I work in an office and only train 3x per week although they're intensive sessions.

1.
Punch bag - 30 to 40mins
1.5 mile run

2.
Weights
Dragon flags
1.5 mile run

3.
Weights

I'm the guy in the gym who's actually got a sweat on, everyone else I see seems to think the gym is for looking at their phone, posing in the mirror taking butt pictures, I grew up as a boxer so I train for actual fitness.

Nothing.

I would just eat cans of tuna for lunch and dinner, and/or grilled chicken breast. Eggs for breakfast. Like I said it wasn't the best way to do it, but I got enough nutrients and protein, and after about 45 mins of cardio each day it melted off fast!

Figured that part was obvious, but some people think carbs are bad, but if you're exercising and trying to build you need them.

The trick with carbs is to eat them only once a day.

If you eat them in the morning, skip them for the rest of the day, or vice versa - don’t have them in the morning but have them at lunchtime or for dinner instead.

Most people can’t process a continual intake of carbs all day, but they can process them if taken in the way I describe.
