Special people.

Hence why I left London lol.

Where I live they get pissed off if they have to wait 2mins at a Tesco's check out, certainly wouldn't wait 18hrs, sad people, sadder times.

Mate
If it's anything like the Burger King and kfc opposite Gloucester rd station it's to be avoided like the plague
In fact they are both so dirty they may bring back the spirit of 1666

Mmm... it looks delicious. Well worth queuing all night for. The first pic is their signature dish. A piece of fried chicken accompanied by spaghetti topped with ground beef in a sauce with bits of hot dog sausage - which in their terrifically ironic Asian sense of humour they have named, "Chickenjoy".

The second pic is a delectable looking side dish of boiled rice with mushroom gravy.

I can't wait for one to open round my way.

That looks like some poverty stuff you throw together when you barely have anything in your pantry, fridge, and freezer, and don't feel like grocery shopping :rofll:

Reminds me of when Burger King opened here in South Africa. I was still in high school at the time, and the store was opening in the city centre. I didn't go on day one or anything, but my music class were going to watch a concert taking place down the road, so afterwards we went down to the new Burger King and tried it out. It was packed and the queue lasted about half an hour. We had a good time in the queue, we were chatting about the concert and what we were going to try inside, some friends were talking about the Burger King they had overseas. There was a vibe in the area because of the hype and it but made for a good atmosphere. I also always found it amusing that we were an African group of friends going to an American fast food place after watching an Indian music concert.

Anyway it was the first time I'd really queued for something, even if it was only half an hour and hardly a queue. The next year at a schools jazz festival there was a Grammy award winning artist performing that we really wanted to see so we queued for about 4 hours then. It was also really fun though. We bought pizza and had it about half way through the wait. Pretty much everyone at the festival (not a huge festival, only a couple hundred people probably) walked past and struck up a conversation at some point.

Really, queuing for something can actually be quite fun and you usually meet cool people as well. Granted, I'd never queue 18 hours for anything lmao, let alone for some fast food, but I do get the hype. If any of my favourite bands come and I have to queue to see them I'd jump at the chance. Not only would I get to see them but I'm bound to meet other people who are as big fans as I am.

Half an hour is tolerable, I mean you'd wait that long for food if your sat in a restaurant .............. 18 hrs though, means you have to re-evaluate your life.

I recall a sketch from Spitting Image about a new Spud u Like shop opening in Moscow.

It showed a long queue of people waiting for the shop to open. Eventually the shutter came up.

Assistant: "Yes, how can I help you?
Customer: "I would like a potato.
Assistant: "And what filling would you like?"
Customer: "What do you have?"
Assistant: "Potato."
Customer: "OK, I'll have a potato, with potato filling."

The assistant hands a potato to the customer, then pulls the shutter down , with the sign, 'Sold Out'.
