Sometimes the harder you work the more shit you get for it

Sigh

That's good argument to work for yourself! No boss to blame, you get to hire your co workers...or fire them!

Meanwhile back in the UK, Eurosport has disappeared from Sky TV, which is very annoying, as I love the winter sports coverage!

Forgot to post this on the weekend.
I have the honors of putting the Anzac crosses out for our local township, we currently have a population of around 500, WW1 that population would have been much smaller,in such a small population we have 29 crosses within those 29 there are 6 Victoria Crosses which absolutely amazes me. I Love the chance to honor these people by placing the crosses for remembrance.

How the hell did they get six victoria crosses? Do you realise how high the threshold is for one of those? Do you have a link to their citations? It must have been for something they did as a group presumably.

I have read up on four of them at this stage two of them got the French medal of honor as well, most be not overstated all of these men also perished in WW1 2 of the awards were posthumous, one I remember most was single handedly took out a machine gun post it's command and personal, that was the one that stuck out the most. Two or three of them had 4 honors vc French I will post details when I take them down. What I couldn't work out was two of these guys were in the Christchurch battalion which is the other end of the country, don't know too much about WW1 contingency as to what battalion there were, but I intend to find out, remarkable number of VC,I met NZ last VC Willie Apiata I built his Toyota ute for him with Toyota and the company I managed at the time.
These are the 3 I can find that I had written down
RC Travis VC, DCM, MM otago riffle battalion
DF Brown vc battle of the Somme from otago.
HJ Nicholas VC, MM Canterbury regiment.
