Malta.

I’m feeling weird about it. As I’ve said before on GW I have travelled a lot in recent years….. recent until covid that is.

I’ve not left the country since 2019. Since then I feel I’ve changed in some ways. I don’t feel the same passion to travel and see places. I’ve become homey. You could even say lazy. I don’t like it and I want to snap out of it, but it’s still there.

I just hope getting on that plane and getting some new sights in cure me

Been to Malta twice....once on a Football tour! Valetta is interesting, but the scenery is a bit rocky and barren. You can get a ferry to Gozo which is a bit greener.

Just being in a different place, mediteranean heat and friendly people.....whats not to love?

We went to Rome in April and Barcelona this week. Was strange seeing Pep at the Nou Camp while I was there. To be on the tour by the pitch as he was stood on the pitch was insane timing to say I didn't even know he would be there lol. Wife went to Mount Etna the week before with friends which she said was a great experience. Not sure I can be arsed with airports over the summer so probably wait until April/May now and finally get back to Orlando after endless covid cancelations.

We are staying home except some local fishing and boat camping. Do have a flight to Minnesota for some time with siblings post our parents passing last year,
but flying with all the delays and such is not attractive. Too busy anyway.

I've had covid since Monday. Still testing positive.

Felt ropey as fk on the Tuesday and Wednesday. Spaced out. Barely able to walk round my flat. No food.

Gradual improvement since then. Still got a cough, and pretty lethargic. But got some of my mojo back today, able to do some housework and walk round the local park

It's pretty nasty. But it never affected my breathing. I assume I'll get a negative test soon

Ooh nasty....are you fully jabbed up? It seems to me that the vaccines are reducing in strength by now, but if you've already had covid, you have a longer term immunity.

Yeah I'm triple jabbed but not had one since early January

We'll never know for sure how much they help. But bottom line is I didn't get seriously ill and it never affected my breathing.

Bare in mind that the infection rate is high at the moment, and in reality it's even higher because people aren't testing themselves as much. Despite this the daily deaths are tiny. Points to vaccines keeping people out of hospital

It's almost like vaccinated people represent a larger number of people or something
