Its not like this Covid experience has been bad, it wasn't, but having a temp and lethargy for 15 days sucks ass !

Now, I know I have antibodies, but I am also aware that I am not getting any younger, will the covid symptoms get worse as we get older ?! So I have made the decision to get the vaccine, I can't be arsed to have to go through this experience again, plus I get the added benefit of being able to travel easier.

Glad you got through it HH.....although it may take a while yet, before you're fighting fit. The lethargy can drag on for weeks I believe. Also glad to see another conversion to the vaccine.....you know it makes sense. Is that three out of three now?

Omg.

After all that he's jumped ship.

I know what you mean though, they say 10 days quarantine but I was ill for 11 to 12 days so nearly two weeks and that's part of what was so bad.

Being ill for that long just day after day is just draining.

Flu lasts like 5 days, you can handle that length of time but being ill for almost two weeks is a kick in the nuts mentally and physically.

To be blatant the world could do with losing more of its population.

It would soon replenish.

If there's one thing humans are good at it's knocking out kids.

Interestingly, China are facing a population crisis as their one child policy has reversed the expansion, which will see a top heavy population in the next 50 years. Its amazing the knock on effect this has on a country's economy.

I was browsing back through this thread yesterday and it makes a quite fascinating read. One day kids in school will read these old threads in history lessons.

HH will certainly raise a few chuckles along the way!

How many days in before you got bad?

Probably Days 3-7 were the worst because I had it all on those days, aches and pains, lethargy, cough and temperature.

Exactly that DG, I'm not often ill so when I get an illness that drains my energy its awful. I had 14 days of it. Yeah I will have natural immunity for a while but I'm not gonna go through that again and I want to go snowboarding and shit. I was willing to deal with limited travel options before, but now I decided to get vaccinated travel opening up is a great bonus.

No, more like - I'm not taking the bus
I'm not taking the bus

**it rains and I got wet**
I'll take the bus next time.

I didn't get covid bad, I found it an annoyance rather than anything else linked to pain or discomfort. I still don't need to get it if I don't want to !

LOOOOL

I hate sprouts and throughout this whole episode I totally lost my appetite and had to force myself to eat. I thought some greens might go down better than all the other things I had been eating but literally the only edible greens in the fridge were boiled brussell sprouts. I sniffed one - smelled nothing at all then ate one ...... waiting for a reaction .... no reaction, no taste, nothing !! So I ate 4 more and called it a day. Doubt I will ever eat brussell sprouts ever again.
