Shits on Gucci, then considers getting Beats.

I use my AirPods at the gym, but I don't think you'd go for them. Get some Sennheiser, Sony, Bose, or JBL wireless headphones/earbuds.
Im totally unaware consering headphones thats why i asked. Ive tried beats once before and really liked the sound quality.
Ive bought cheap jbl headphones but returned them straight away. Didnt fit at all for the gym

Beats aren't worth it. You're paying for the brand and not the product. You can get similar quality headphones for 1/2 the price.

Sennheiser is the best in the game imo (inb4 Zenith comes and sets me straight)
All senheisers headphones from what ive seen are massive. Just looking for smaller headphones for the gym

I use wired AKG headphones. The foldable K451 model.

Great headphones for everyday use.

I didn't even know people still used them outside factories and dry cleaners.

Only little Asian kids in Communist China have sewing machines in their house.

I worked in the Middle East for a while back in the 80s. and one of the British guys I worked with had an Indian fella as a kind of all round servant. Cleaner, come cook, come gardener.

The Indian fella lived in a little annexe in the grounds of the house, and asked the guy one day if he could advance him a few hundred quid on his wages so he could buy a sewing machine. He wanted to use his spare time to earn extra cash by ending off the rough edges of material bails that were on sale in the market.

Anyway the guy just gave him the money.

This fella was apparently responsible for about 12 people back in India. His wife & kids, plus parents and another couple of elderly relatives.

Only in Hong Kong and Macao they aren't (assuming if you believe them to be part of China, which I don't)

I don't either. They're under PRC rule, but still enjoy autonomy somewhat.

But mainland China isn't communist either. If China were communist, people like Pony Ma (Tencent) and Jack Ma (Alibaba) wouldn't have the net worth they do.

Deng Xiaoping opened China to foreign investment and instituted a socialist market economy starting in 1978, and China has since been in a transitional phase to state capitalism since about 2001.

True, but Xi seems to be taking back a lot of this. He can now lead indefinitely, placed himself up there with Deng and Mao with his XJP thought. Surveillance has picked up, celebs now have social responsibility scores, cult of personality... Friends out there have told me things definitely feel more restricted.
When last have you been back? How different do things seem?

Yeah, China is on some Black Mirror shit with the social credit system.

I haven't been there in almost 3 years. I made sure to use a VPN to get around the Great Firewall. There's definitely less freedom than here in the West, but as long as you don't piss off the CCP, you're good. A lot more poverty/low income people than developed countries, but eh, as a Westerner, you can avoid it if you try. If you're a native English speaker, the girls will be all over you. Food is hit or miss; you can be fine with street food and get food poisoning at a relatively upscale restaurant, it's crazy. A lot of the people need to learn social etiquette, but it was fun for a change to throw elbows and barge to the front of lines instead of being orderly.

Tell me about it. Most of us lost 10lbs in first few months just from food poisoning when studying there. Developed an iron gut now though.
My blonde mates got all the love from the girls. Most weren't interested in me until I spoke the lingo. Their relationship with black people is quite weird but mostly friendly, at worst just ignorance with no malice.
Was back last year for work and failed to get a sim at the airport as you now need a residence permit so you can link your mobile activities.
