Professor Stephen Hawking has died

Postby UFGN » Wed Mar 14, 2018 4:34 am

RIP Professor Stephen Hawking

A true hero of humanity. His achievements would have been outstanding even if he'd been perfectly healthy. To keep on putting out ground-breaking work while putting up with the shit he had to live with is really incredible.

He was given two years to live when diagnosed with MND in 1963; he went on to live for more than half a century more.

One of the most inspiring humans to have ever lived.

yo wtf

He lived a hell of a life (and a lot longer than anyone could've imagined at the time of his original prognosis). He was a pioneer in the fields of physics and cosmology. RIP to one of the better humans to have lived.

I was just listening to an interview on LBC with Brian Cox, where Cox is trying to explain why Hawking never got a Nobel Prize

Essentially what he says is that Hawking was so advanced that although he didn't get one, someone else got one recently for work based on Hawking's theories. At the time he first published, none of it could be proven.

Stephen Hawking - bigger than the Nobel Prize for Physics

Might have to give his film another peak the one based on his life story, not seen it in many years.

Very good film
What could have been a grim tale is turned into a wonderful celebration of life and love
It also has the shock of seeing frank lebeouf taking a scalpel to hawking's voice box in a Swiss clinic
He may have done the same to bergkamp, Kanu or Henry if he could have got anywhere near them

I thought the highlight of the film was when we drove his wheelchair around the house like a Dalek screaming "Exterminate" with his computer.

Ahh Starman, what would we do without you. :rofll:

R.I.P. Stephen Hawking.

I must say his spinal illness i think was something spiritual. For him to live so long after the diagnosis suggest to me the whole thing is related to forces beyond the material 3D & 4D world.

There is such an atheist wankfest most people would never entertain what I say however when you go a little to far into the new age movement which i'm convinced Stephen did in secret.

No doubt he was a very gifted man, as i have said, if you want to prove the theory of everything you need more than empirical science, much, MUCH more! I respect Stephen for daring to dream and going to places many would shy away from!

His ashes are to be interred at Westminster Abbey

Highest possible honour for a UK civilian in death
