Not Good Enough

Not Good Enough

Postby Leody » Wed Feb 17, 2010 9:44 pm

I'm trying really, really hard not to go overboard on this guy.

After his failure to come out and deal with Delap's throw in the Stoke FA Cup match, and the two goals he allowed tonight...

He simply isn't good enough and I never want to see him in goal again. Those three mistakes are not good enough for a league 2 team, let alone a PL team. I don't care that he is only 24 and keepers mature with age, I've seen enough to know he doesn't even have a basic understanding of the keeper position. These are mistakes that aren't tolerated at the reserve team level, the under 16 level... disgraceful.

And I have no shame in saying if Wenger defends this guy or EVER chooses him again I will lose all respect for him as a manager.

Pathetic... :BangHead:

You may as well lose all your respect now mate, because AW will still play him and say he is "Top".

You're probably right, but there is no way Wenger could possibly really believe that.

I wonder how this kid ever even got in the team...

Yeah, the ref must have made him pick up a backpass... :BangHead:

That's the worst part. People are going to give the ref a hard time for letting them take the FK, but forget that if Fabianski wasn't a r***rd they never would have gotten the FK in the first place.

that's really not a good moment to be realistic about fabianski now.

I really thought I was easy on him.

I would rip him apart but I am honestly in shock at how poor he has been in his last 2 appearances.

I was very disappointed that AW played him tonight, I think that Mannone is a lot better than Fabianski.

I had my head in my hands for the first goal. Unbelievable.

It'a hard to blame him fully for the the 2nd - Campbell was shielding the ball back to him to pick up, so it was more Campbell's fault for touching it. And it was ENTIRELY the ref's fault for letting what followed happen.

he is a good shot stopper but poor at the basics crosses and the basics. i think he did the thing expected with the goal handing the ball back to the ref but i think for him to turn his back is unbelieveable,i allways praised him but fabanski really needs some time away to improve massively i hope it doesnt effect his whole playing life, his punching sometimes is something which ive allways thought is shakey a real shame for him but we must now give vito another chance i think

So f***ing what? He HANDED them two goals... HANDED them two!!!!!!

And those saves weren't anything extraordinarily great. They were good, but not terribly beyond the expected level for a CL team.

And those two goals weren't just a lack of experience. They were worst than that. They were just ridiculous mistakes.

As Cesc himself said "schoolboy mistakes"

Fabianski should just hand his shirt to Wenger and walk back to Poland after the game.
