Denilson could face boot, after Malaysia strop.

Denilson could face boot, after Malaysia strop.

Arsenal midfielder Denilson could have played his last game for the club after being hauled off 20 minutes after coming on as a sub during a pre-season friendly in Kuala Lumpur.

The Brazilian, who has already expressed his desire to quit the club, has been unable to find a team to take him on so far this summer, and as a result looked set to remain with the Gunners next season.

However, after being brought on at half-time during Show the spoiler
Arsenal’s 4-0 win over a Malaysian XI, the 23-year-old was replaced just 20 minutes later, prompting him to storm off down the tunnel.

It’s not thought the former Sao Paulo youngster was struggling with an injury, and if that’s the case, Wenger is unlikely to call on the midfielder again for the duration of the Far East tour.

Samir Nasri made an appearance off the bench and impressed for the Gunners, while Show the spoiler
Aaron Ramsey, Theo Walcott, Carlos Vela and Tomas Rosicky got on the scoresheet.

I've omitted anything to do with goals/scores etc in case some people haven't seen the game yet.

He can go for all i care..he had the cheek to criticise the team when he hardly has any input..hes a very average player and not needed in the squad

Yep, we have younger players that are better than him imo.

I did laugh when he got hauled off. Made a big mistake that would have led to a certain goal against a better side. Didn't see this strop though

Just saw this on ESPN... He didn't look "stroppy" about it at all actually. He 'spudded' and slapped hands with Sagna, RvP and AA23 who were coming on for him, Miyaichi and Ramsey then said something to the bench [didn't look unfriendly] & walked down the tunnel.

Maybe he needed to take a leak? :dontknow:

If he did strop and judging by his recent comments I think somebody is getting a little too big for their boots. Lansbury is better than Denilson already so won't be missed, although the hard part is finding a club that will actually want him.

Other hard part is getting Lansbury to sign a new deal.

If the link to Malage is true then thats perfect for everyone, they have money so they can pay his OTT wages, they are in La Liga and they are ambitious. Good money for us good move for him.

The likes of Lansbury, Frimpong and Bartley would almost certainly sign new deals if they could see an opportunity to get in the side. The thing is until now we have been using the same players who havent cut it now that some people are being moved along it gives a chance for them to step in Lansbury Frimpong and JET should certainly benefit from the sale of some fringe players.

Asked about Denilson’s substitution, the Arsenal boss revealed that the Brasilian was a minor injury concern on Monday and was not supposed to feature, reason why he was taken off after only 20 minutes since his introduction.

Denilson reminds me of Diaby, except he can't dribble. Actually I'd keep Diaby any day over Denilson, atleast he doesn't do stupid stuff aside from thinking he can play at Inter and Barcelona lol.
