Will we see an improvement for 2010/11?

Wenger obviously sees him as a talented midfielder (he sees him every day in training).
He's been a full part of the first team setup for a while now.
He owes it to everyone to really step up to the plate.
I don't doubt his passing ability but we need to see him impose himself on proceedings.
He has the physique to hold his own in the Prem.
Does he lack confidence or is he scared of the physical nature of the Prem?
Do you see him ever making it at Arsenal or is it really time we cut our losses, move him on and allow someone else to get a chance?

I actually think if he can force his way into the Brazil squad in future IF he starts to take responsibility and run the midfield. I think he's a better passer than G Silva and Melo though they are far harder players than him.
If he can develop that hardness and force his own game then whether it be here or abroad he'll eventually get into the Brazil team.

Musings of a mad man? Quite possibly, I spose...

He needs to hit the gym on a daily basis on weights and he should've started 3 years ago.

Agree, but if he does that do you see him as having the ability to succeed at Arsenal?

Yup agree with that

For now I don't think he's in the right league. Spain would suit him down to the ground

I always thought that with his experience as a holding midfielder - even though he's clearly not a holding midfielder - that he could become a deep lying playmaker, a bit like Alonso maybe... hasn't happened though.

But you're right Gza, it's about taking responsibility. Maybe when Cesc is on his post-world cup break Wenger could experiment more with Denilson and Diaby. They both need to realise their potential.

That was a great article. He is great backup for the first team and hopefully he will add more to his game as time goes on.

Good article, I like his sense of humour but as he says there's no conclusion, and he could've made his point just as well without all the stats imo.

That hits on the problem with Denilson, he does need to offer more to play in that role, but he can't. That is also Diaby's problem, but they lack different attributes. Shame we can't fuse them together.

Dean's complete lack of physicality wouldn't be shown up in Spain and I'm sure he'd go on to become a very good player there. In England? When we are defending a lead against 10 exhausted men, sure. Starting? No. As Rev says, he's a good squad player and I don't think Wenger see's him as anything more than that.

I think we've got more to see of Denilson, but like Cynical said a different league would suit him better, and that would mean either a loan out of the transfer list.

I think he's got potential, but would it be at Arsenal? That's the question I'm asking

Well Flamini and Song seemed to go from average squad players to quality DMs over a summer. Maybe Denilson could do the same, but if he doesn't do it this season then it won't ever happen IMO.

If Denilson does up his game, which I certainly think he can. He could be our next Ray Parlour. Problem is he hasn't really done anything to warm him to the fans hearts...

Pussy Spain league would suit him, though he'd be useful in Champions League clashes.

its not time to get rid of him yet, i am sure he could step his game up if it was demanded of him.
We should give him another 1 or 2 seasons, but if someone did put a decent offer in for him then we had might aswell accept it.

I don't think it won't ever happen, I just think we won't see his possible best. Because I think he can be much better than he is now, he just needs to find that.
