Vela to WBA on loan

“I’m sure both he and Arsenal would have wanted him to start more games. While he is obviously a talented player, he wasn’t really what West Brom needed at the time. They needed an out-and-out centre forward to compliment Peter Odemwinge and Vela isn’t that player.”

I rest my case.

I can see AW hanging onto him for another seson atleast, becuse he's invested a lot into Vela but sadly he's turned out shite so far. He' never going to get a game for us though so the sooner he leaves the better.

He's clearly talented but he's another one of those players that you wonder where he'll fit in.

I suppose if Arshavin goes he could play in his role but I'm still unconvinced about his strength and his ability to stay on his feet.

I'm still confused over where it is he's supposed to naturally play. I know he tore shit up on the left wing for Salamanca (was that the place?), and played particularly well against Madrid, but he's never looked that great on the wing for us. He showed he could finish in the Carlin Cup games that he played for us, but now this lot at Wet Brom are saying he's not the CF type.

He seems more or a runner than a creator, thought he would have been the type to play off a deeper man if he was in a forward role.
