Vela - Sorry folks I don't think he'll make it

I'll just interupt you two to have my little say :hiding:

He does seem to go down a tad too easily for my liking (no more than Chamakh mind you!) but I am convinced of his ability overall. However, at 21 he should definitely be pushing our first team players alot more. How is it that Denilson and Walcott at younger ages and showing half the potential of Vela were able to impact the first team in some way??? It makes no sense! But this is no fault of his own, Denilson and Walcott were given chances and they grew... Vela needs his chance!

Far too early to cut him off as far as I'm concerned.

he deserves more chances IMO. I think he's one of our best finisher in the squad. but I also think a 4-4-2 would suit him better. with all the strikers we have at the moment and arshavin still playing I would love to see him going on loan like jack. he should join a club like blackpoll, bolton or something like that.

He's young as well, he might not be developing as quick as Walcott and Denilson but I reckon he'll get there.

Loan perhaps?

Should he go on loan in England he may have a future at Arsenal.
Should he go on loan outside (i.e Spain) he's in the shop window.

We have alot of players with the 'ability' and alot dont seem to show it, as said before i dont think he'll make and nothing has convinced me otherwise since i last said it, thought last season was going to be the season he stepped up but wasnt to be.

I just think wenger doesn't know how to use him. look at hernandez at manU. he's playing and scores the goals. in the national team vela was(or maybe still is) in front of herandez so that tells you something about this 2 players. they are both 2 talented players but vela as much as hernandez. he's not playing well and doesn't score so many goals as hernandez. my point is that wenger doens't know how and where to play him.

Go back to the 4-1-3-2... problem solved!!!!!!!!!!!!!

RvP, Bendtner, Chamakh, Theo and Vela all gunning for two places! That's how it should be IMO.

Just been listening to James Olley speaking to TalkSport about the rumours going on (as some of you have as I gather from your posts) and he reckons Vela could be used as a makeweight in the Cahill deal. Whether that means on loan or permanent i don't know.

But if true, I know which I'd rather it be... :sneaky:
