It doesn't sound overly serious, if he does miss any of the pre-season, hopefully it is just the very beginning.

I'm excited about the prospect of Carlos progressing this year, I think he could have a big impact for us.

ankle.. even if he's over the injury i doubt they'll declare him fit till after the next int break

Carlos missed the latest round of international matches with an ankle injury. "Carlos Vela is injured," said Wenger last month. "He will not be available for Mexico – why? He has an ankle problem which we feel we need to heal. The only way to heal it is to put him in a boot. He is 20 years old and we can’t take a gamble on him."
