How long have I been saying he doesn't like being played as a target man?

He does. A few years back, the holland manager allways placed him out wide, he hated it.
He said billions of times he wants to be our(holland's) striker.

City have the midfield and strikers to pull 442 off now

Andy Carroll is rubbish and sitting on the bench,Liverpool will stick to 451

Carroll so far has play the full 90 minutes vs Sunderland, started for 71 minutes vs us and entered as a sub after 76 minutes vs Bolton.. I'd hardly say that he's just warming the bench..

The only reason Carroll has started the first two games is because Luis Suarez was tired after the Copa America, now that he is back I expect to see more and more of Carroll sitting down.Kenny will of course try the 442 at home but who would he drop in midfield?

Meireles... Chelsea solved that problem for him

But he wouldn't be an out and out winger, he'd be free to cut inside, drop deep, it would pretty much be a free role!

He will hate to play out wide again mate. I think he wants Cesc's role.

RVP is a genuine No 10 . He likes to get involved in the link-up play . He does not like being isolated . I just feel with
his reluctance to lead the line and his preference for a deeper role , we have nobody at the end of the crosses coming
in to the box. I feel if we continue to play a 4-2-3-1 we should give him the CAM role behind Walcott/ Park. RVP Can
be useful as a CF ,if we employ a 4-4-1-1 and allow RVP to play behind the Striker . So either we change our formation
and play him in a CF role behind a striker , or employ him as a CAM , if we continue to use the current formation .

Either way we've brought Arteta for nothing while we should have brought a proper striker.

Theo will hopefully be played through the center this season. A striker wasnt a must in this window tbh

Theo cant play target!

We'd need a proper target man to play alongside him in a 442.

??

With the lost of Cesc and Nasri in one summer, this team was lacking in creativity....

Arteta adds that ;)

With Jack out now for 2-3 months I think we're going to be grateful we bought Arteta and Benayoun.

That is why we should have really splashed out for an out n out striker and moved RVP to the Bergkamp position
