On a separate note; anyone else notice since that miss against Meelan that his chance to goal ratio has dropped to 20% when it was closer to 80% before that?

Yep. He's gone off the boil. He must be knackered since he's been playing the full 90 minutes of nearly every game this season. Ive also mentioned several times that hes been wearing a calf support in training so his fitness is a big concern for me. If we were to lose him for a few weeks or if his form contines to decline we will be very hard pressed to finish in the top 4 IMO.

He has needed a rest and we haven't given that to him. Why did we need to loan out Bendtner and keep Chamakh after how bad he was for the second half of the season? He has been uterally useless. How in the world does Wenger view Bendtner as a winger instead of ST as well? We could really use him upfront giving RvP a break right now. Awful decision making in my opinion, and to top it off we buy a useless Park who has sat on the bench all year long.

Yeah he needs a break big time. He's nowhere near as sharp as he was and he's missing chances that he buried with ease earlier on in the season.

I wouldn't be surprised if he's carrying a muscular injury

He hasn't actually played more than any of his counterparts in other teams, it's just that we are so used to him missing large chunks of the season. He probably is tired, but so is everyone so late in the season.

RVP is not a machine. Literally played every game in every competition and this was expected. This is where squad depth comes in to the picture. If we had a quality backup to RVP, he would still be fit, fresh and raring to go. If he breaks down only person to be blamed and that is Arsene wenger.

But we have Park. He scores in every reserve game he plays.

Oh god. If he needs rest then do it. We do not want to lose him long term.
I want Carl Jenkinson back in a Arsenal shirt next season.

If it was me, i would take into account that Walcott has hit some rich form and play him up front, with Gervinho on the right and Oxo on the left.

After the way he played against AC I'd play Ox through the middle.

Wouldn't play Theo in the centre of an attacking three. We wouldn't have any posession around their box and every cross would be pointless. We'd have to change the way we played completely and adopt a counter attacking style.

Wouldn't be so bad with a lightenig fast front three of Gervinho, Theo and Ox... only problem is we'd have to rely on a steady defence!

This would be critical. I know RvP isnt the most prolific header of the ball, but comon, ive only ever seen Theo head the ball 4 times in his career! He could only really play up front if he was partnered with a more targetmanesque player.

Anyway....Why does he take the corners from the left/right? surly he would be better off in the box? and whats the % of goals from his corners?

I've always thought it's stupid to have him taking corners, he's one of our best headers ffs!
