RVP will tell Arsene Wenger and Ivan Gazidis at a meeting in London on Wednesday whether he wants to stay or leave the club this summer

Not sure whether I'm confident he'll stay or not... Think it's best I start thinking of a new username :(

Like i said, Podolski = contingency plan.

Don't expect a world class striker to replace him.

I expect him to leave personally.

Yea, in fact the Podolski signing makes me kinda think that Wenger may have known this whole time that RvP is leaving, so he wanted to get this signing out of the way so its less of a blow for us. Hope I'm wrong of course.

If that's the case, then he should be strung up for outright lying to the fans... Not just 'subtly hinting' but outright lying.

I can't find the direct quotes but he said something along the lines of we want to keep Robin no matter who we sign and those we do bring in, are not a replacement for him. Or maybe even said Podolski is not a replacement, when we signed him.

Sorry TRA, I don't trust much of what Wenger says.

Wenger is a compulsive, blatant liar, not anything new to be honest.

Yeah but usually he gives off these little spinny tales and subtle misdirections. But this time he outright made the statement that we're not bringing someone in, to replace him.

That's what I mean.

It needs to be sorted out either way within a month. That's what we said about Nasri, clearly never happened. But this time it has to.

Something tells me that we still won't know by Wed though, that seems to soon and to easy for Arsenal.

Wenger said that if we sold Nasri & Cesc we won't be a top club anymore, yet we still did it. He's gonna go, its just a matter of time.

RvP is gonna do what Henry did and ask the club what direction they are going in, and rightly so, if he gets the right answer I think he'll stay, if not he'll be on his toes to Spain or Italy. I really couldn't see him going to City.
