At least Frank Spencer's injuries were comical. The Van Persie injury situation isn't funny. I can't help remembering Brian Clough's words to Eddie Gray - "if you were a horse, you'd have been shot". His injuries make him a liability. I looked at his stats and he's averaged 19 league games a season for Arsenal, so he's basically missing half a season. You can't build a title-winning team around that sort of player.
There's David O'Leary and big Willie Young, sending Rixy and Stapleton off on a run

How van Persie managed to rape someone is beyond me. Surely he'd have done a serious injury to himself if he was trying to fight with a woman?

Ankle - again.

An ankle that was already heavily taped (it appeared) - again.

An ankle that hardly got harsh contact - again.

Something is seriously wrong with this guys ankles. 10 days my arse, he's in real trouble IMO.

:crybaby:

It was inevitable he would've twisted his ankle with the way his foot was positioned trying to block the ball.

"Coach Bert van Marwijk has HSV striker Ruud van Nistelrooy joined in the Dutch national team training camp in preparation for European Championship qualifiers against San Marino in Orange and Finland.

Van Nistelrooy replaced Robin van Persie, who sat in the league for his club against Blackburn Rovers (2-1) jumped an ankle injury. Research in the hospital this afternoon showed that the Arsenal striker at least a few weeks off.

Van Nistelrooy, during the Euro 2008 (Netherlands - Russia) last played for Orange, closes Tuesday morning with the selection."
