RVP is NOT slow

Not slow compared to a non athlete, but how many times have you seen van Persie outrun defenders? He IS slow compared to his peers and there is NO way he was the fastest player at Euro 08

I can't remember the last time he has A) needed to, or B) tried to

It's not his job to really. But remember when he first came and was used on the wing sometimes, he beat defenders all day long.

Its not his job to beat defenders? he's a striker, who is he supposed to beat then? Come on man a blind monk can see van Persie isn't as fast as many of his fellow players, this is a non argument.

And a few injuries later and a fair big chunk of his horsepower has gone...

He's been clean through a few times and decided to stop to twist and turn which ends up the whole defence getting back and him missing the chance.

Or he's had the oppertunity to be clean through but his pace has let him down.

I think that the new formation may be changing his game in a way that doesn't suit him.
Maybe he likes to sit behind the striker in the SS position and doesn't enjoy leading the line up front?

I personally don't think he's ever liked leading the line whether it's a 4-4-2, 4-5-1 or a 4-3-3.

Arsene obviously has his reasons for not putting RVP on the wing in the 4-3-3. I believe it's to do with his work rate and ability to track back.

i have faith in bendy but if your serious about winnin the league your main man up front needs to get at least 20 goals. bendy ain't there yet. dudu's to small imo to be leading everything.

We don't know if Bendy will ever be there if he's gonna be put out on the right all the time...

Besides; Bendy's goals per minute ratio was better than RVP's last season so what's the point in RVP being there then?

Bendy got 15 last season so he only needs another 5 to reach your target.
He did that from 27 starts so one can reasonably assume that if he's given 37 starts he might hit 20, especially if they're in the right position.
