Any of you lot into athletics? I'm a (rubbish) triple jumper - coach mostly though these days. Head coach at the local club and coach the kids there. Anyone got a favourite event? Have tried my hand at most things in the league just for the points - not really built like a thrower though i did get roped into the hammer last summer...

Was a decent long jumper in school. But that was a long time ago.

A favorite of mine was always track. Throughout primary school and the first few years of secondary I was always the fastest at 100m. Then my legs grew freakishly long and my running speed somewhat declined, lol.

Twas good at long jump though...won the inter-form thing in Year 11 breaking the schools record.

Legs grew freakishly long... speed... declined?? :? You're definitely no Usain Bolt, then. :snooty:

Maybe if/when you stop growing you'll find your co-ordination comes back git and you're good again. You could be the next Usain Bolt after all! ;) Gzagee - long jump is a cool event! (nearly as good as the triple jump!)

always wanted to give athletics a go, never got the opportunity, did sprints n stuff that was it, never tried long jump, javelin, hurdles etc

was fast as f**k, still am, but thats me comparing to a small catchment area, if i went to a big city school i probably wouldnt seem that fast anymore hah
