That Mexican didn't half back off a lot in the final round.....

Oh well, there is still the bronze to aim for....

They certainly aren't showing it here. Not that many of us would understand it anyway, because it's not really a recognised sport, certainly not a televised one here.

Just watching the gold medal boxing....

Not a bad little fight this one, although the Cuban does like to hold on a bit....

11-5 in the third.

Another GOLD!!!

Bit nervy toward the end of that bout though. I was wondering if he would hold on or not, The Cuban had an excellent third round.

Blimey! BBC1 are screening the handball final at 11:30 (UK time), so I'll be sure to tune in, and see what all the fuss is about.

Are France any good? (Well, I suppose they must be to reach the final)

Are you expecting gold, or is Iceland more or less resigned to being runners-up?

How about a brief resume of the rules, as I won't have the faintest idea what is going on!

Well, if we were to enter the football, it's the only way it could happen. We can't enter a Great Britain team as there are four different football associations involved. If we enter individually, it would mean that GB would have to enter the games as four Nations.

Now as I understand it, the London games are the Great British games, which is why Scotland and Wales are involved with some of the locations, meaning we can ONLY be Team GB. Meaning no football, and no Scotland team.

Isn't Salmond from the SNP? They want to break all ties with Westminster, so I can partially understand why he has said it, but I really don't think it's practical, besides which a united team brings a higher medal count.... And we go under our own identities in The Commonwealth Games.
