I said to my work mate yesterday max never intended to take the fight. Watch an interview with him couple days ago where he was very coy about his weight. Imo the plan was always to put his name out there and be seen as anytime anyone fighter when they knew he couldnt make weight all along
Max definitely wanted to fight.
He is one of the most fearless fighters in the sport and has called Khabib out recently.
He wanted to fight at 170, UFC said no because they wanted it for the LW belt.
Also important to note the NY athletic officials called it off based on how he looked, there were no doctors present.
