I'm talking about the Adesanya fight.

Finished it now, it was sht.

I would watch the Hollway one but I'm done with it, for me there's no saving grace for MMA anymore.

I saw all the good stuff, the Chuck Liddells, the Fedor's, the Matt Hughes even the early Tito Ortiz, Anderson Silva etc.

The guys today are just boring imo.

Yeah, it's a shame, cos Adesanya usually entertains (not just in a showman way). I've always found the ground stuff boring and like Adesanya cos he's from a kickboxing background so usually stands up and trades blows. He got me into ufc, his kicks and elbows can be awesome to watch.

His strategy usually seems to be to take a couple of rounds to find his range (unless his opponent gifts him an opportunity like Costa did) and then finish strongly, usually picking up points/rounds along the way. Yan was tired and it could have worked.

I know I'm wrong on this but in terms of entertainment, Jan laying on top of him for the last two rounds was the boring bit for me. I find it like possession football in your own half, yes he dominated, but he didn't look even close to getting a submission.

I'll give it a watch when I have some time.

My issue with MMA these days is the striking is used mainly to nulify a grappler and the grappling is used to nulify a striker ........... and I emphasise the word "nulify".

In the old days it was used as an attack, now its just to evade being taken down.

Fkin boring.

With boxing what I've always loved is there's no hiding, no way out, the only way to stall in boxing is to hug however a good ref can stop that by deducting points, most times you don't need to.

God I wish I'd had more matches, can't now, at my age, my career is way too demanding to get into peak shape, just simply don't have the time.

Stipe should retire. Good career. Walk away healthy.

Good win for Nganou.

I think the ufc will want him to get destroyed one more time before he retires. So I can see him get a rematch if Francis defends the belt. Ifhe was smart he would walk away

Have to say I'm just not impressed with the HW's in the UFC anymore.

Does Stipe or Ngannou even beat an in form Lesnar, Nogueria, Velasquez?

I'm not so sure, skill wise he's just a big hitter, you can find that in a bar.
