Having said that, Conor hasn't beat a live body since 2016. His one win since then was a washed up Cowboy coming off back to back stoppage losses.
He also looked unrecognizable agaisnt Poirier in terms of style, he was completley flat footed and stagnant.
There was none of that old flowy in and out movement, which is a big reason why his leg was there to be kicked all night.
It's ironic that back in 2015 Conor was mocking all the LWs for being "stuck in the mud" only to become that.
He's fallen too in love with his boxing, he said he's been training almost exclusively in it and even had his childhood boxing coach in his corner on Saturday.
If he's going to continue fighting he needs to commit to all aspects of mma and get back to being active, fighting once a year isn't going to cut it if he plans on being competitive with elite fighters.
