Sione Faumuina we've signed now from the Cowboys. Not sure that's a good idea? Is he as shit as the rest of their team?

Thought we were going to get on a roll after that win, aparently not and it's becoming more aparent that we're destin for a bottom of the table finish. Good thing there's no relegation

he is a good player , but seems to have a few problems off the field . he got the sack from new zealand warriors in 2006 for an alcohol related incident . this is what the NRL website here has to say -

North Queensland backrower Sione Faumuina has agreed to join UK Super League outfit Castleford for the 2009 season.

The New Zealand forward, who walked out on Harlequins without playing a game for the club, has negotiated a 12-month deal with the Tigers.

A former Canberra and New Zealand Warriors player who had a three-match stint with Hull in 2007, Faumuina signed a three-year deal with Harlequins in September 2006 but pulled out of it three months later, citing personal reasons.

Now the 27-year-old is willing to return to England after two years in the NRL with the Cowboys.

"I'm very pleased to have got Sione on board for next year," Castleford coach Terry Matterson said.

"He will bring us some real presence. He has the size and skill and plenty of experience at the top level in the NRL.

"When I was at Canberra we tried to bring him back to the club but he opted to stick with the Warriors."

if matterson can keep him focused on his footy , he will be a good addition to your squad mate

Sounds more like he will fit in getting pissed up with the other players! I don't care what they do out of work to be honest, as long as when they play, they are sober and play to their ability.

not lookin good for finals football mate , both our teams are in trouble yorky

knights have cowboys at home , storm at home then broncos away . we are sittin 10th now and would need to win all our games ... not goin to happen :BangHead:

tigers have sea eagles at home , sharks at home then titans away . tigers sittin in 11th place and would also need to win all their remaining games as well

then if either of our teams managed to sneak into 8th we would have to play the storm in melbourne . f**k it :BangHead:

sorry , i have been a bit slack with this thread . well this weekend is the last round before finals . table is below -

1 Sea Eagles 16 7 0 2 272 36
2 Storm 16 7 0 2 264 36
3 Sharks 16 7 0 2 61 36
4 Roosters 14 9 0 2 55 32
5 Broncos 13 9 1 2 86 31
6 Dragons 13 10 0 2 121 30 (rach83)
7 Raiders 12 11 0 2 95 28
8 Knights 12 11 0 2 52 28 (ozgooner and chvint)
9 Warriors 12 11 0 2 -87 28
10 Eels 11 12 0 2 -24 26
11 Panthers 10 12 1 2 -89 25 (superdumbassman)
12 Tigers 10 13 0 2 -48 24 (yorky)
13 Titans 10 13 0 2 -94 24
14 Rabbitohs 8 15 0 2 -175 20
15 Cowboys 5 18 0 2 -158 14 (arsenalyank)
16 Bulldogs 5 18 0 2 -331 14

so knights need to beat broncos (i'll be at the game) to consolidate a top 8 finish , panthers and tigers miss out . rach's dragons are definetly playin finals football and would be lookin for a top 4 finish so that they get a home final . arsenalyanks cowboys lookin to avoid the wooden spoon

yeah mate , cowboys have a far superior for and against . bulldogs play raiders away and cowboys play sharks away . i think cowboys and bulldogs will both lose and you will finish second last . better than last ;)

NRL Table and Points Ladder Round 26, 2008 (End of 2008 Regular Season)

W L D B +/- Pts
1 Storm 17 7 0 2 302 38
2 Sea Eagles 17 7 0 2 290 38
3 Sharks 17 7 0 2 67 38
4 Roosters 15 9 0 2 65 34
5 Broncos 14 9 1 2 108 33
6 Raiders 13 11 0 2 113 30
7 Dragons 13 11 0 2 111 30 (rach83)
8 Warriors 13 11 0 2 -65 30
------------------------------------
9 Knights 12 12 0 2 30 28 (ozgooner and chvint)
10 Tigers 11 13 0 2 -32 26 (yorky)
11 Eels 11 13 0 2 -46 26
12 Panthers 10 13 1 2 -107 25 (superdumbassman)
13 Titans 10 14 0 2 -110 24
14 Rabbitohs 8 16 0 2 -213 20
15 Cowboys 5 19 0 2 -164 14 (arsenalyank)
16 Bulldogs 5 19 0 2 -349 14

so rach's dragons are the only team playin finals football out of us  . the dragons play sea eagles in a sudden death play off (meanin if dragons lose it's season over , sea eagles because they finished 2nd get another chance) cowboys avoid the wooden spoon (last)
knights finish one spot out of the finals :BangHead: . tigers and panthers finish in the bottom half of the table

it's down to this :

roosters v broncos
sharks v raiders
sea eagles v dragons
storm v warriors

What an amazing season the NRL has been this year. 3 teams tied for first place is f***ing awsome. The play off places have been wide open all season as well.
