I was really tempted to put a tenner on Cilic when he was a set down at 9-1 odds. He's a good player in, as far as I can tell, in peak physical condition and has the game to beat Federer. Sadly, Federer just doesn't look the player he was.

Fair enough. Federer struggled at the end of last season with back issues. Hopefully that's behind him and he can stay fit with smart scheduling.

Federer so comfortable in the end. I can't help but think that nerves got the best of Cilic there after an impressive fourth set.

I'm pleased Federer won. I'm pleased I didn't bet on Cilic in the end.
