Can someone explain what actually happened?

All i've seen is this video below and that her behaviour was bad?

Doesn't matter.

Nothing in sports could ever get me riled to the point where I "can't even calm down".

I'm just imagining Jedi raging in his house because of some overly PC tweet.

I don't know what it is, i could watch an ISIS beheading video and video footage of the China dog eating festival at the same time and it won't rile me up as much as these twitter accounts that label everything a race/sex issue. I can't explain it. It's a curse, but I've learned to live with it.

Completely classless stuff from Serena. Can't say I'm too surprised though she's got history with this kind of shit.

Feel for Osaka.

Ridiculous behavior.

“You are attacking my character.”
“You are a liar.”
“You are never going to be on my court ever again.”
“Say you are sorry.” “How dare you insinuate I was cheating.”
“You stole a point from me. You are a thief too.”

How anyone can believe that a male player would get away with levelling those kind of accusations at an umpire is beyond me. The treatment of Osaka by both the crowd and the USTA representatives during the awards ceremony was equally as disgusting. If I were her I would have grabbed the trophy and my $3million cheque and just walked off.

To play devil's advocate, there were instances of McEnroe going ham on the umpire and a bit more recently, Troicki going crazy.
But just because it might have been a double standard doesn't mean that it was one tied to race or gender. If anything, the umpire's that allowed such behaviour from McEnroe and Troicki are the ones who are at fault here. Not the one that followed the rules and penalised Serena for acting like a child. She has nothing to complain about.

And then she went for the Hillary Clinton tactic of playing the sex card. Didn't work of course, just makes her look like a petulant prima donna.

Lots of respect for Serena for what she has achieved but she's in the wrong. I've been surprised by the number of people defending her. She broke the rules numerous times and continued to escalate the situation - what did she expect?

The crowd booing Osaka should be ashamed of themselves as well.
