And?

Didn't know that disqualified you from being the GOAT, seems like a very arbitrary criteria.

Novak won the first two slams in a row in 2016, why is it suddenly such a crucial factor?

I'm not saying It's a crucial factor, but Cripps is the one disqualifying Djokovic for not winning the calendar slam, as if It's a win for Nadal or Federer, so yeah I think It's worth pointing out neither has managed to connect the first two, let alone go for all 4.

This would've put Djokovic in an entirely different league to Fed and Nadal, but he doesn't really need it for GOAT status. He's still gonna have every record and h2h over them and he will get the slam record too.

This is the most likely scenario, especially since Nadal can't stay healthy.

Sadly Federer is done as far as being a factor in the GOAT race. He's 40, hasn't won a Slam since 2018 and is consistently injured.

In all likelihood he won't win another Slam and will be stuck on 20 so I think it's safe to say he will retire as the 3rd greatest player of all time.

Novax just confirmed he was granted a medical exemption to play in Australia.

21 could be coming.

It's not right that he gets that exemption just because of money and advertising probably. Australians can't even travel interstate in some cases and forget foreign travel. They have had the severest lockdown yet Novak throws his toys out of the pram and gets what he wants.

latest news: An alleged visa bungle has thrown Novak Djokovic’s Australian Open defence into fresh doubt amid claims he attempted to enter Melbourne using invalid documents.

According to reports in Australia, the Australian Border Force (ABF) contacted the Victorian government on Wednesday after learning of an issue with the visa submitted by Djokovic’s team before he landed at Melbourne Airport at around 12.30pm UK time.

Djokovic flew to Australia this week after he received a medical exemption from having to be vaccinated against coronavirus, but was questioned on arrival by border officials over his documentation.

According to Australian media, the world number one's team submitted the wrong type of visa that does not permit medical exemptions for being unvaccinated. The alleged error was realised just hours before he touched down in Melbourne.

Officials were said to have sought formal backing for his application in order to grant him entry, with the state’s acting sports minister, Jaala Pulford, confirming on Twitter that such a request had been rejected.
