How do you rate them?

How did I ignore the feat of a tennis player?

I already said that tennis requires a much wider skill set than most sports.

I'm asking how you quantify the greatness of tennis players in comparison to other individual athletes?

Since you don't put as much weight into their accomplishments due to the size of the talent pool.

From a scale of 1 to 10 in individual sports specifically, or predominantly practiced by competitors from upper to upper middle class background, thus smaller talent pool; between 9 and 10

From a scale of 1 to 10 in individual sports, also performed by competitors who aren't excluded because of their background, thus larger talent pool; 7

I don't look down on tennis anywhere near as much as you're presuming. :Peace:

Funny my initial thought was Bolt but I'm surprised so many voted for him.

Don't remember seeing this poll before but hadn't voted so went for Brady. Not a huge amount of NFL followers on here so not surprised he only got 2 votes but what he's done over 20+ years and now across 2 teams is incredible. Appreciate Bolt, Woods, Federer all individuals and there's an argument Brady dominated in a team sport but still, unbelievable.

There are some sports where the participant doesn't need to be an athlete. Jocky Wilson and Bill Werbiniuk were great sportsmen. Definitely not athletes.

Perhaps the list should either exclude those sports or get renamed 'greatest sportsman/woman' of the 21st century.

Big Bill was an athlete he could do the 100m dash in an hour, he could do it in 13 secs flat with a beer at the finish try doing that weighing 160 kg
