DARTS king Phil “The Power” Taylor was sensationally branded a cheat by former ace Eric Bristow last night.
Footage emerged of Taylor claiming a winning throw that MISSED in a tournament he went on to win.
The 16-time world champ seemed to score a double 12 to clinch a game — but as he approached the board the dart could be clearly seen outside the wire. He paused, picked out his darts and walked away.
The miss was not seen by the ref or opponent Dean Winstanley.
Taylor, 52, won the second round match 6-1 and later triumphed in the tournament, the £20,000 Gibraltar Darts Trophy.
But I’m a Celeb star Bristow, 56, right, said: “The player knows if it’s not in and has to declare it. You don’t want cheats.” The Professional Darts Corporation confirmed it was a miss. It said Taylor claimed he did not realise.
He offered to replay the match but that is against the rules.
