Major race scandal in the NFL just dropped.

Brian Flores has implicated the Giants, Dolphins and Broncos.
Lawsuits filed from the unhappy ex coach claiming race discrimination.
Obviously timed for maximum effect in the run up to the Super Bowl which makes sense really to get the exposure.
I guess we’ll have to see whether this is a case of a poor coach using race as a reason he didn’t get a job or whether there is truth in what he is saying.

I think there’s probably no truth to it but he’s not a poor coach. He’s a decent coach who probably should’ve gotten more time at Miami but fell out with the GM and owner.

They also rejected Leslie Frazier who is black, he’s not moaning. Flores is clearly raw from his ‘unjust’ (in his mind) Miami exit and now being rejected seems to have pushed him over the edge.

Come back and be the Pats DC again Flo.

Not saying he's right or wrong because I wasn't in the interviews or around the teams, but if that were true, then why are there 6 black general managers? Honestly, the Rooney rule can go at this point.

Though, there's an even bigger scandal that Jay missed from Flores. Flores said the Dolphins owner offered him $100k per game as tank commander. Match fixing from an owner where sports betting is taking off in multiple states? Yikes. Congress will come down with the force of Mjolnir if that's true. Flores obviously didn't take the bribe since the 'Phins went on that winning streak, but that could explain the falling out between him and the front office.

Well the Rooney rule is useless and probably what caused the problem here. Giants wanted Daboll but still had to interview Flores after because of the rule.

The incentives for teams developing black coaches/GM’s who go on to get a significant hire elsewhere is a much better initiative. Targets the cause rather than the symptom.

I don't know what the hell Synder was thinking with Commanders. Soooo many other names he could've gone with. Joke owner that's destroyed a once proud franchise.

They will always be the Washington Redskins to me.

Bit on the fence… the Bengals did fabulous to get here. Would be nice to see our owner get his first SB though.

Of course he is, he’s a kid (at least in the grand scheme of the NFL) with the entire city of Cincinnati on his back. Choked that 4th and 1 when he had guys wide open...won’t have helped when he watched that back.

Chase is unreal, bengals are set for years with him and Burrow.

Surely they will pay both after their rookie deals and have them for 10 years.
