Never saw him life back in the day tbh, so I can only compare with what I heard on the records.

Did you see him live? You must be older than me....

There were some decent moments imo.
For example, Elbow, George Michael, The Pink Floyd with Ed Sheehan (?) thing, Queen and of course The Who.

Can't think of any more at the moment but I'm sure there were some.

The Stomp cast were good. Lennon, and above all the amazing lights and visuals

Even his recorded stuff sounds a bit weak.

Saw madness live in the mid nineties, and again in the late nineties. Dreadful singing.

Also saw Suggs in Our House, the Musical, in the West End. He was guest starring in it. It closed a few months later. Nuff said!

I'm actually gutted I missed it, sounds like lots of 90s music - my era!

Also, i saw the opening ceremony and followed the games and wish i'd watched that bit to finish it all off.

Yeah it was.
I wonder what will happen to the national psyche now? We're so used to finishing anywhere between 4th and 12th in any race/tournament that to actually win gold medals (and lots of them) might give us all some kind of nationwide schizoid embolism.
What will we possibly do with all the confidence and happiness this has generated?
There was virtually nothing to moan about for two whole weeks!

Was saying almost the exact same thing to someone at wwork today Inch. The success is almost troubling!

Let's wait for the Paralympics shall we :hiding:

I did hear that there will be investigations and people held responsible (trainers) for why we didn't do well in competitions where we were expecting more. Namely the diving and swimming.

F**king retarded right?

Sounds like something China would do.

I always fear for the little girls from China that are suppose to win gold in their event, but fail somehow and only get bronze or silver, cause I'm pretty sure they're going to be killed when they get back home.

Yeah that's lame.
In some areas we fell short and in others we exceeded which sort of balanced it all out.
Overall we did far better than most people expected so investigations seems a bit harsh.

On the opening day I heard Romania took Gold, Silver and Bronze.....plus copper, tin, lead and any other metal they could cash in.

Oh and in the rowing, America got gold, China took silver, and Somalia took the boat at gunpoint.
