I lose interest in the game because of it. I understand the need for them, but it just becomes so boring.

Now I like the Superbowl though, because the commercials are usually entertaining.

And I agree with the thoughts on Maddona though.

I really dont see why they stop after only a few seconds play. It ruins what could be a good sport. if you watch a rugby league match youll see how it could be. Some pretty hard tackles in that and they just play on. In AF instead of a long break of play, why not just a blow of the whistle, five seconds pause and blow to play on? Then you might have a real sport!

It's about money, like everything else, companies pay for prime time advertising, and they pay well, the NFL will never turn down millions.

Out of interest. Hoe long would a game take to play on average for some 7 year olds? Also, how long does the adults game drag on for on average?

I coached my son's 11/12 y/o team last fall and his games average 2 hours. But they play shorter quarters than the pro's. The average pro game takes about 3 hours.

Missed it :(
But I knew it was Eli's year. The Giants went to some difficult places in the playoffs and prevailed.
And Victor Cruz?! Wasn't he just a 2-star receiver in College???

Love the British accents! Really taking the piss there with the sport they chose. Kinda reminded me of the interpretation of Cricket in 'Get Him to The Greek'... hillarious!
