Murray must be cursing the fact that he's around at the same time as Federer and Nadal. Any other era in tennis and he'd be a multiple GS winner.

I agree and think he gets a lot of unfair abuse for it

Hope Djokovic wins the final

I don't really mind who wins as long as it is a decent match.

Murray gets stick because:

1) British people like to put people down
2) Some English people have never forgiven for some jokey anti-English comments
3) He's a bit moody

Fact is that he's comfortably the best British player I've ever seen and probably the best in about 80 years. He's a country mile better than Henman ever was.

The top 4 in the men's game at the moment would all have been challenging for the no. 1 spot in the world at any time previous to this, in my opinion.

Really dont want Nadal to win. The ego on the Spanish atm is too much to stomach.

Euro Champs Holders
Euro under 21 holders
Wimbeldon Holders

They havent got a cricket team have they?!

Murray beat himself, he absolutely threw it away
he was cruising, I haven't seen Nadal look in so much trouble for a long time, then he misses an easy winner and falls in a heap
he'll never win a grand slam with that mentality and he wouldn't have won one if he played in a different era either

Vettel shits all over Alonso.

Vettel really is unreal. :dizzy:

Still remember when he debuted at Indy, I thought he was special, but never dreamed he'd do what he's done.

I can't stand Maria Sharapova. And i don't rate her looks wise. Only thing is that other lady Kvitova is frugly.

He still played well after that, just not as well as he had done previously. Nadal simply stepped up a gear. He made only 7 unforced errors in the entire match and 4 of those were in the first set. That's insanely good.

Murray's reached 3 GS finals already and has ALWAYS been a better HC player than grass. I still think he'll do it.

Relatively speaking, Pete didn't dominate the whole sport in the same way. He dominated Wimbledon and the US Open, to an extent (in 12 years from his first GS final, he won 7 Wimbledon's and 5 US Opens). But he never won the French and only 2 Aus Opens in his career.

Look at it this way, even with Pete's prowess, from the first year (1990) he got to a GS final until he retired (2002) there were:

8 winners of Aus Open
10 winners of French Open
7 winners of Wimbledon
7 winners of US Open

From the first year Fed got to a final (2003) until now there have been:

5 winners of Aus Open
4 winners of French
2 winners of Wimbledon
4 winners of US Open

the point is, he let Nadal back into the game
in the few games after that error, Murray visibly wilted
Nadal spotted this and took the opportunity with both hands and made Murray his bitch for the rest of the match

A deserved victory for Djokovic. He played some amazing tennis in the first two sets and he kept his nerve when Nadal came back. Djokovic has only lost one match this year and that was to an inspired Federer in the French Open. I'm not a fan of Nadal, with his towel abusing, his manipulation of the timeout system and his convenient injuries when he's struggling and the whole cult of Rafa that goes with him. I'm glad Djokovic won.

Over in the ladies game, it was a great victory for Kvitova. Sharapova didn't turn up. Her serve was very poor but at least she's getting to the sharp end of grand slam events again. Kvitova was playing some ferocious shots and she kept her nerve well.
There's David O'Leary and big Willie Young, sending Rixy and Stapleton off on a run
