Would be amazing if Cleveland sports teams win two major championships in the same year after not winning any for over 50 years.

They already did though

"Major championship", that's like a B league or something.

Stipe Miocic winning the UFC championship would be more applicable, except it isn't a team sport.

Maybe if they win, then Steve Bartman can show his face in public again.

f**k the cubs, I was hoping the Indians would clinch it in Chicago so I could see the continuous stream of Cubs fans crying faces on ESPN. Come on Cleveland and here is to another 108 years for them fucks!

Cubs 9 outs away from their first WS title in 108 years. I'm rooting for the Cubbies for no reason other than I'm tired of hearing about that bs curse (just like the Red Sox before 2004).

Congratulations to the Cubs! Baseball doesn't get much better than that.

108 years between championships. Surely has to be one of the longest droughts between titles in professional sports history.

Not good, this is like watching Tottenham win the league for me. Not a good day. And the worst part is, they'll be good for a long time, at least for the next ten years, and could possibly win more. Depressing!

I'm happy for Cubs fans, but on the other hand, one of baseball's last, great mythos is over. Now, the Cubs are just another team—kinda like the Red Sox after 2004.
