He's from California I think.

Shame. He was such a perfect Duncan replacement.

LeBron opts out of Cavs contract.

Where is he going?

The world awaits.

Chris Paul re-signs with the Rockets. lol they're gonna regret that contract in a year

LeBron's camp takes a meeting with the Sixers. He has supposedly made his decision and will make an announcement on Tuesday.
Sixers trying to trade for Kawhi, but Embiid, Simmons, and Fultz will not be included in any package.

Thicko question incoming

Is there any form of offside rule in basketball, or is there no requirement for the attacky guy to beat a defending chap?

Damn, I guess LeBron really believes in Ball becoming his preferred type of PG.

This move is unsurprising to anyone with reasonable foresight. When Kyrie joined Boston, LeBron made that cryptic comment about how the NBA needs a good Lakers-Celtics rivalry.

Plus, this move sets him up for post-retirement.

Guess this means Boogie on a 1-year deal.

Ball-Ingram-LBJ-Kuzma-Boogie. Not a bad starting 5 tbh.

Now for Magic to make some depth moves, and

Nope.

In fact, in pickup basketball, it's common for one dick to be a cherry picker (i.e., a player hanging back near the opponent's basket instead of playing defense, waiting for an easy pass for a layup/dunk/uncontested three-pointer).

Do you think the sport would benefit from an offside rule?

It would be completely destroyed.

Basketball could not be basketball with an offside rule.

I get it that it's a fast paced sport, but wouldn't it be more interesting if the scorer had to beat at least one man before he can shoot?

No.

Fast breaks (counter attacks) are one of the most exciting parts of the sport, implementing an offside rule would ruin them.

On top of that the court is simply too small for an offside rule to be feasible; such a fast paced sport played in a small area would result in the game being stopped every minute.

Hmm I spose. Also the points system rewards shots from distance which wouldn't be compatible with an offside rule
