British Open

Surprised there isn't a thread on this.

Anyway am watching it and Westwood has just taken a 2 shot lead. Big money being put on him over the weekend and its looking like a good bet. He is more than due a major, probably should have won at least one by now.

3-way tie on the back 9. Watson, Westwood, Goggins.

I'd like to see a Brit win but what a fairytale if Watson at 59 yr old could win his 6th Open.

Believe it or not, Watson is one shot ahead with 2 holes to play. Westwood is one shot further back with one to play.

Cink just birdied the 18th to go even with Watson.

Wouldn't be surprised if it goes to a playoff.

Its looking fairly likely at the moment. Westwood missed an eagle by a gee hair. 3 tied aqt 2 under now.

Westwood might have just thrown away his chances.

Tom Watson has a 2 shot lead going into the 18th and final hole. Being the last to play I can't see him dropping 2 shots to allow a playoff.

He can almost taste it!

My apologies, he has a 1 shot lead over Cink, and he's just overcooked his 2nd shot at the 17th.

Cink is at 2 under so he only has to drop one shot. He has 2 shots to make par and win. My nerves are at me just watching this finish
