You could have had 4 6-0's and a 5-0 in this one set!

Unreal!

I'm lost for words! That's Roddick losing for the third time to Federer, but by hell did he make the Swiss work for it.

Hats off to both.

With all his second place Wimbledon trophies, I think Roddick may have a full dinner set now, just needs to pick up some utensils.

Well done to Federer on making it 15 Grand Slam titles. I know a lot of people were gleefully predicted his demise after his defeats at Wimbledon and Melbourne to Nadal but he's bounced back and now holds three of the four titles. And who's to say that we won't become the first man since Bill Tilden to win six US Open titles in a row? Roddick played well. It was his best performance in a long time and he deserves the sympathy but looking at it objectively, at 6-2 in the second set tiebreak, he should have gone 2 sets up and I doubt Federer would have come back. I thought Federer's returning game was pretty mediocre today but his serve in the fifth set was unimpeachable.

A lot of people will say that Nadal had bad luck with injuries but you make your own luck and Rafa put so much into getting strong on grass and hardcourts and it takes it toll. Federer on the other hand has never had a major injury.
