Hendry has an excellent draw so the smart money is on a Hendry/O'Sullivan final with O'Sullivan to win by 5 or more frames, O'Sullivan really seems up for it this year. He is good mates wit the BetFred lot and they are the main sponsors, as we all know there is no-one who can get near Ronnie on his day.........

When Ronnie plays to his full potential he's unstoppable but he's too much of a crybaby and a drama queen.

Hendry came back from 5-7 to beat Williams 10-7. There was this really funny bit when Williams left his cue extension on the table and the white ball came round and hit it. It was a foul and the two players were in stitches.

A great result for Hendry, beating Ding in the second round. Hendry made a brilliant 140 break. I've been a Hendry fan since I was a kid. He's way past his best but I still root for him.

Mark Selby's the favourite now, but it's anyone's game ain't it.

Yeah, I caught the end of that incident but and didn't know what exactly happened. What was it all about?

If he was decent he would have potted the white when he got back on and let Selby resume from the D like he should have.

Higgins dug himself out of another hole with a brilliant final frame clearance of 75. He'll fancy his chances now. It was tough on Selby but I think Selby's got enough about him to be a contender for years to come. Great win for Murphy against Hendry. Hendry showed his old class with his 147 though.

The semi-finals:

Allen v Higgins
Murphy v Robertson

Have you heard the one about the Englishman, the Irishman, the Scotsman and the Aussie?

A brilliant victory for Higgins. Three world titles now and he's fulfilling all the potential he showed when he first won at the Crucible. His first title came in 1998 and his most recent one has come in 2009. To be able to have the game to be world champion over an 11-year span is an excellent achievement. Murphy never got a run of the balls and made too many mistakes. Higgins's tactical play was great, as usual and his break-building was first class.

It was a great championship. Allen, Selby, Cope, Day and Robertson showed themselves to be players of the future. Higgins has still got it and Murphy is a class player too. Even the old master Hendry came up with a brilliant maximum. Don't believe O'Sullivan's crap about snooker being in trouble.
