Djokovic withdraws from RG after having undergone an MRI on his knee and discovering a meniscus tear. Could be a long rehab so Wimbledon is also in doubt.

The GOAT and the two other guys (formerly known as the big 3) truly are finished.

Dear God

I remember when Djokovic was in the goat debate

Just lost number 1 ranking to a genuine pubber and is struggling in the French last 2 matches so quits before he loses

Thankfully Nadal is on an upward trajectory. Gone from 512th all the way up to 275th. If he keeps up with his excellent form, he might sneak back into top 200 soon. Keep in mind, Djokovic is 37 and Nadal turned 38 yesterday.

Also, you want to talk about quitting? Like when Nadal pulled out of Wimbledon semis after he struggled against Fritz? (Obviously neither player quit, btw)

Nadal fans truly are the Spuds of Tennis. Completely faded into irrelevancy and not close to sniffing any trophies so they have to cope by trying to make fun of their superior rivals who are still competing at the highest level and surpass them in every category.

No you wouldn't. You just like Nadal more.

Nobody in the world mentioned the Olympics as a factor until Djokovic started threatening the grand slam record. No prize, no ranking points, best of 3 set matches. It's about as big as winning an ATP 1000 Master title, slightly more because it's every 4 years.

How many times do I need to do this?

Most ATP 1000 Masters (won all of them at least twice, while nobody else is one away from winning them all once):
Image
Nadal 6/9
Federer 7/9
Djokovic 9/9 x2
^ This is bigger than the slam record in my book. There's no one in the history of Tennis who's done anything similar, and no one is close to touching this record.

But, don't worry, we have the slam record in the bag too:
Image
"Most slams" is another narrative created by Fedal fans around 2015 or so, when it looked like Djokovic didn't have a chance to catch up, but he started prioritizing them, and he did it. Tough luck.

Ok, but is he really number 1? Well, he also happens to have the record for most weeks spent as no.1 player in the world:
Image

Fine, but Arsenal was number 1 in December too. How many season has he finished as the no. 1 player in the world?
Image
He has the record there too.

What about the ATP Finals event—where the Top 8 players in the world meet for the final tournament of the season? Another Djokovic record:
Image
Federer put up a good fight, but Nadal is not responsive. Zero.

Oh, Djokovic also has the edge when it comes to H2H records against Nadal and Federer.

It's over. Stop it. Love your Tennis legends, but don't put them in the same category as Djokovic. They're not.

"Fake injury" trolling aside, I was so mad with the tournament organizers.

First his match starts at 11:40 PM local time, finishes some time after 3 am which is completely unnatural for an athlete to do during a tournament like this and screws with their circadian rhythm, increasing risk of injury. Then his last match he complains to the ref about the clay, says there's divots and slippery spots and all he asks for is for the staff to sweep the clay more often.

Ref and supervisor reject it. A few games later, he falls and fucks up his knee = tournament over.

Forget Djokovic, why should this happen to anyone? This is the same clay where Zverev had a nearly career ending injury.

If you're going to have so many matches that could be 5 setters, then don't start the day at 11 am. Start the first match at 9 am and sweep the fvcking court if an athlete is telling you the court is slippery. It's the bare minimum.

Three days of Wimbledon and Ach hasn't informed us anyone is dead!

Hoping our local lad Jack Draper can make a decent run....he's playing well.

Djokovic being a dick again. Crowd supporting some pubber called Rune and chanting his name which Djokovic claims to be the crowd booing him. He's a joke

Djokovic in the semis without even stepping on the court as his opponent pulls out due to injury.

Dear God. Has there ever been such a demolition job in a final?

Passing of the torch is complete. Federer and Nadal to Alcaraz.
