These days there are so many more tournaments, players are getting proper match practise constantly, this makes it slightly easier for players these days.
Look at Judd Trump and see a guy who seems dedicated and has a desire to win - I remember the first year he came on to the scene he was wearing these daft shows with studs hanging out, since then he's matured and dresses like any other snooker player.
Now look at his best mate, Jack Lisowski - even these days you'll see him dressed like a gang member etc, you can just tell he's not serious enough, he doesn't have that desire that Trump has.
Ultimately your Lisowski's will win one or two trophies and get to a few quarter finals but that'll be it,
Your Trump's will be up there fighting for every trophy and winning multiple trophies over their career.
Ronnie O'Sullivan is great and it's madness that he's never won the Sportsman of the year award thingy, especially as he's had mental health problems, the way he's not afraid to talk about it so openly is an inspiration.
I thought it was sad that his daughter came out in the papers a few days after his recent win saying she wouldn't let him see his granddaughter, it was also incredibly stupid, when the granddaughter gets older she'll read back the stories on line she won't thank her mum for putting their business in the public eye, she doesn't want anything to do with her dad but seems happy to use his name to make some dollars, there's a lot to be said for people like that.
