My fellow gooners & goonettes, I am well aware that I was a front runner in many peoples minds & greatly appreciate all of your support. However I believe that in this current climate, it would be best for me to make a dignified gesture & bow out of the running for 'Member of the year'.

Now I am sure that some of you will take this news badly, labeling this act as a brash or unnecessary moment of madness & may even resort to self harm, but I assure you all that my reasons are as well-grounded as they are pleantiful.

The more cynical amongst you may have come to the misguided conclusion that I am taking this step in order to shirk the responsibilty of bankrolling the inebriation of my contemporaries...tisk tisk. In actuality I beleive that my departure will aid in the betterment of the forum by making way for the youth to come through...It's what Arsene would have wanted.

I would once again like to take this opportunity to thank you all for your ongoing support & reiterate that my withdrawal is specific to this particular competition & will not diminish my involvement as a fully active member of the forum.
