What horrible and sad news, I am shocked. RIP Chris, a lifelong passionate gooner and another good man who died too young.

13th of May 2012 Arsenal beat West Brom 3-2 to finish 3rd ahead of Newcastle. Gooney is still yet to leave the forum...

Shocked & saddened at this news. Chris was a great guy, who had time for anyone he made friends with.
Hope he has met up with Drama & they are kicking it with Rocky at the gates of the big Highbury in the sky.

It appears Chris has saved 2 lives in his passing, which is wonderful but at the same time very tragic that he is no longer with us.
Thoughts are with his family, close friends & most importantly his 5 beautiful children, who he adored.

Sleep Tight Chris. x x x

RIP SE. :(

Always shared stories, and was always willing to give insights into his days on the terraces. I've only been on here a couple of years and don't know any members outside of the forum, but he was kind enough to share some essay length PMs on his thoughts about standing stadiums, and the cultural changes that went with them.

Great guy with a lot of passion.

I remember having a few interactions with Chris on this forum, after he briefly joined the Celtic forum I'm a member of, when we drew Arsenal in the Champions League qualifier a few years back. Enjoyed the Scotland/England baiting and banter that went on but he had some honest, forthright and excellent views on the game in general, as well as his beloved Arsenal. He was probably the main reason why I'm still on here now. Really shocked and saddened to hear of his passing.

Only just seen this, shocked!

Far too young to be leaving us. So sad.
For those of you who weren't familiar with him, he was the Head Moderator on here for a long time, he was one of the longest standing members of GW and due to his technical knowledge he was basically the backbone of the place for years.

I'll be cracking open a beer for you tonight mate, RIP.
