Pretty large contributor to our poor start which is one of the main reasons we never had a chance to compete this season. We still have issues to work out (striker, DM depth) but we were a better team, despite the results of the last few matches, in the 2nd half of the season than the first when we had all of our main players healthy.

I believe that Wenger has a dream to win the premiership title on a shoe string budget, and that's all it is, just a dream which is costing the club dear.

We spent as much as Chelsea did last season. Don't think that's the case. He wants to win it his way, but you really can't if you don't have the right type of players.

Wenger only wins the title when his first choice XI is fit for most of the season:

97/98
Seaman
Dixon--Adams--Bould--Winterburn
Parlour--Vieira--Petit--Overmars
Anelka/Wright--Bergkamp

01/02
Seaman
Lauren--Keown/Adams--Campbell--Cole
Parlour/Ljungberg--Vieira--Edu/van Bronkhorst/Parlour--Pires
Bergkamp--Henry

03/04
Lehmann
Lauren--Toure--Campbell--Cole
Parlour/Ljungberg--Vieira--Gilberto--Pires
Bergkamp--Henry

There are only a handful of other players that were rotated into the team in those title winning seasons.

If we went all of next season with nobody missing more than a week or two at a time then I think we'd probably win the league - but we all know that won't happen!
Raya/Ramsdale
White/Tomiyasu--Saliba/Timber--Gabriel/Kiwior--???/Zinchenko
???/Jorginho
Odegaard/Smith Rowe----Rice/???
Saka/Jesus-------------------Martinelli/Trossard

Not true. Not even close to be being true, Last season we spent £42m they spent £107m. This season we spent £86m, they spent £109m.

Combined difference from just two years of £88m spent. Are we more than £88m worth of players away from them?

Or, Wenger doesn't win the PL (or reach the CL Final) when he doesn't have DB10. ;)

In all those three seasons, we had the best midfielder in the PL and the most intelligent player of them all in DB10. Some big factors.
