Short term yes, longterm no.

Ie this season a cup double would be sick.

An FA cup would be good.

A league cup would be ok.

A PL or CL would be massive.

Any combo of 2 would be godly.

I'm still not sure if we have what it takes to get far in all comps plus a top 4 finish just yet, but spending will defo help that of course.

I'm just hoping Wenger took the risk of not signing a dm or cb etc because he wanted to let the new boys settle in for the first half of the season before introducing more faces.

We shall see.

Yes PL is only one competition we aim for.

If we could frequently win the others i'd be over the moon.If we started winning the others in bulk would be amazing.

No, anyone who says otherwise has just been brainwashed to accept mediocrity by the club, i.e., 4th place deemed successful.

People are tripping if they think Champions league, FA Cup = mediocrity

That CL that Pool won is still in the books, and isnt going anywhere,The Invincibles couldn't hack Europe.

Who said the CL is mediocrity?

That's the biggest club trophy in the world.

P.S.

The past 8 years have been mediocrity for Arsenal - barring last season's FA Cup.

If you include the Champion's League, then I'd take Arsenal being just a cup team. BUT if we can someday match Chelsea and City's spending patterns pre-FFP sans the massive net loss, then I would expect us to be winning the PL

You do realise that the European Cup (sorry, "Champions" League), only has four teams from England, Spain etc for commercial reasons, right?

This concept of judging finishing third or fourth as a success is only propped up by the commercial activities of Euefa.

If you finish third or fourth while charging the highest ticket prices in the country, then ultimately, you lost. You very, very lost.

It is, the problem is we've never won it and have never look liked doing so bar 2006 - Wenger's only ever made the semi finals twice (and that includes 06').

Which would make winning it even better.

I don't see how i could not accept winning the CL.
