I think Sanchez is easily superior. van Persie was once of those players whose game looked more impressive than it really was due to the fact that he was a leftie who had a lackadaisical and languid yet effective style.
Sanchez is relentlessly brilliant, one of the few players in world football who can beat an entire defense with his skill in dribbling.

What a pointless debate? but here you go, RvP is long gone and if Arsene doesn't pull his finger out Alexis will soon be gone as well ... RvP was injured in a time when players were nowhere near today's fitness levels ... however good he was, and he was feckin' good, I very much doubt he'd manage 25% of the games in today's environment ... but it's all guesswork we will never know ...

Career wise - 523 games with 242 goals versus 496 games with 148 ... the difference being RvP at 33 is done ... Alexis at 27 has another 5 years so he'll probably end up at >700 games and >200 goals ....

He (via his agent) has said China are offering 400k a week ... if it's just about money we can't / won't compete ... and it won't be Utd it will be City, it's not a secret that Pep is a big fan ...

The RVP / Sanchez debate is the same as the Henry / DB debate.

If your referring just to skill and technique then Bergkamp wins across the board here.

But this was always my argument when it came to Henry, athleticism is a thing, you can't ignore it.

Henry without doubt was more dangerous to the opposition and as a goal threat making him imo a more valued player.

Bergkamp could dazzle you with skill, vision and deft passes but Henry had skill plus 2-3 goals a game in him.

Henry for me is the greatest player we've ever had.

Saying that RVP had enough athleticism and a higher skill bracket than Sanchez in a lot of areas although Sanchez's over the top passes are quite lovely.

I'd go (currently)

Henry > Bergkamp > RVP > Sanchez

Even the RVP / Bergkamp decision is tough due to RVP's increased goal threat but to be fair to Dennis it took RVP a while to fully fill the ST role, Bergkamp was no less capable.

Sanchez will perform more if we have another world class player in the front line. Ozil is the only one he trusts. You can see Ozil is always his first choice when he try to pass , no matter how hard the situation is. Same thing happens on Ozil too.

I'd like to see this:
-----Sanchez
Ox---Ozil---Perez
----Xhaka---Coquelin

For now, we can just rotate Ox/Iwobi/Walcott for 1 single winger position. In long run, we need to buy one.

Draxler - pace, power, link up play, finishing.

Should have bought him 2 seasons ago.
