It's obviously a personal preference, and my preference is anything that can happen negatively to the yids, I'm all for first and foremost.
WHAT IS GOING ON AT OUR CLUB?!?!?

I want chelsea to win cos a mate out of work and two mates in work all support spurs and have been giving me grief all season.

Also, the mrs loves di matteo and it'll be good for us to cheer for the same team on saturday!

Oh give over with the 'real gooner' crap.
Everyone is entitled to hate whoever they want to hate and it doesn't make them any more or less of a gooner than anyone else.
All you mean by 'not a real gooner' is that someone doesn't 'fit in with your personal concept of what being a gooner means'.
No-one here loves the Lily White twats but there are other teams that are far more hateful these days imo.
They've just been a laughing stock for years now and the butt of all our jokes. They haven't really challenged us in a way that would make me really angry, all they do is constantly humiliate themselves by spouting shite (see TRA's collage).
Many fans hate teams because they beat them in a final or permanently injured on of their players, it's not as if they've done either of those things. They haven't beat us in an FA Cup final lately have they? Or a CL final?
They're a running joke, a laughing stock. I can't hate them because I'm laughing too much.

Now, Chel$ki and Manure on the other hand. That's a different matter.
Clubs with no history who try to buy trophies and ruin football in the process are far more irritating. Teams with players like John scumbag Terry and Didier Diving Champion Dogbra have far more to get angry about.
These players are cheats and their owners are pathetic and yet they can still knock us out of various cup competitions.
And don't get me started on Shrek and that infuriating tramp Fergie.

I watched my first Arsenal game 32 years ago and you want to call me a JCL for hating Chelscum??
Do me a favour.
I would MUCH rather the Chavs lose the CL final and Tottscum get another go in the CL.
I take your point about if they're not in it then they don't even have a 1% chance of winning it but I'm sorry I just don't think that they even have a 1% chance.
There's no way in hell they can win that thing.
Even if they somehow fluked their way into the quarter finals they will do their usual thing of saying "We can go all the way." and then get spanked 6-0 by someone like Inter Milan.
They don't have the quality in their starting eleven and they don't have the squad. It really doesn't worry me.
It's far more entertaining watching them get their hopes up only to watch them crying in the stands when they lose.
Let them have some comedy false hope for a while, it's fun.

13th of May 2012 Arsenal beat West Brom 3-2 to finish 3rd ahead of Newcastle. Gooney is still yet to leave the forum...

Have faith in Ramsey, he'll come good

We've had this debate years back in another thread (which I might search for later), it depends how you define 'rivals'.
The word usually means a competitor that is rivalling you for the title, or a team that have done you wrong in the past.
Like I said, other than this season when we only beat them by one point (more to do with our own f**k ups than anything else) they haven't rivalled us in any significant way.

They're a bunch of arse-clowns.
You may as well hate Sunderland.

They've been in the league for decades and they haven't won it since black and white.

Being in something doesn't mean you have a chance of winning it, especially when there are far better teams involved.
This season at least four teams were better than the Spuds, Chelscum would've finished above them if they hadn't been stupid enough to hire AVB.
Can't see that changing any time soon.
The teams they'd face in the CL are certainly better than the teams that finished above them in the Prem so it's very very very very very very unlikely that they'll get anywhere near the final.

Your absolutly right, and i know that.......

its just that tincywincytinny bit in the back of my little mind thats saying "what if" :crybaby:

but if they aint in it

I know what you're saying. If they won the CL it would be like a nuclear bomb hitting the Emirates and all those spacky little fans would have bragging rights from that day until we'd won it twice.
I can't imagine anything worse, but I'll take my chances.
If Chel$ki lose the final then maybe there's a chance that Abramotwat will eventually get frustrated and pull out of the club altogether so we can go back to the days when teams won trophies based on merit rather than finances, apart from Citeh of course.

Yeah I'd go along with that.

The only exception is when we sing "Are you T*ttenham in disguise?" when we're spanking a team 4-0.
But even then it's much funnier when we actually sing it to them.

Tbh I find all this "Stand up if you hate T*ttenham" stuff boring. Just gets in the way of my view.

That almost sounds like Leeds have won more than City! When in reality they have won as much as WBA (as I'm sure you will know!)

I don't think some people realise that City are on of the most successful English clubs in regards of trophies. (again, not pointed at you as you will know!)
This is how it feels to be City
This is how it feels to be small
You signed Phil Jones
We signed Kun Aguero
