What you're looking at is the Rockey Mountain Arsenal nature reserve. It was initially created in the 40's as a chemical weapons manufacturing facility. I hadn't really been used since the 80's and some animals seemed to relocate to the area, including the American Bald Eagle, which was endangered at the time. On discovering this it was moved to be cleaned up and turned into a wildlife reserve which officially occured in the late 90's.

It's also closed off so the public doesn't really have any access to it. Plus, it was a pretty contentious thing for quite some time in Denver, so it may not have the best connotations. It's likely that it's only a coincidence and Kronke brought shares in AFC because they have a history of making money. Regardless of that, they do have an Arsenal cannon at the Rapid's park that they fire off everytime they score, so that's always a nice reminder of the connection between the teams, especially for us US fans who have never been able to make it over and see a game.
