But who is to blame for the bad start?

Imagine if we'd signed Mertesacker, Arteta, Santos and Benayoun in pre-season!!!
Szczesny
Fabianski
Sagna--Mertesacker--Koscielny--Gibbs
Jenkinson--Samba--K.Toure--Monreal
Fellaini--Wilshere
Ramsey--Arteta
Cazorla
Rosicky
Walcott---------------Podolski
Chamberlain-------------Gervinho
Villa
Giroud

oh here we go again.
i never make excuses for us why do you feel the need to make excuses for other teams.?
58 points from 30 games would be enough to put anybody in 3rd since 08/09.

scored 8 in 31 19 of em as a sub
scored in a 1-1 draw with bolton and a 4-3 win with everton in 01/02
was,nt a success but certainly not the default position for everything failure

exactly
waiting for things to happen to us rather than being proactive was terrible management.

Wenger on Mikel Arteta's free-kick…

"I prefer it when he takes free-kicks with his laces because he has short feet. Usually the guys who have good insight have bigger, longer feet, and when a guy has short feet like that they are very talented at hitting the ball with their laces. The ball floats a little bit when they take it and I think he is more built to hit the free-kicks like that."

I knew Wenger liked his technical details but bugger me............almost sounds like he has a foot fetish!

Artetas got a peewee.

PLAYER RATINGS UP

I missed the game again but can't believe we have won 7 in a row now, what an amazing turn of form.

Think you got that one wrong mate. It's not as though they're having a bad season by their own standards, more like their best ever Premiership season.

Think of it like this, Citeh have replaced Chelski, Totscum have replaced Liverfool. Swings and round abouts... we're still the same team we've been for the last six years

On the game though, I only saw the highlights as I mentioned on the last page, but that freekick wasn't the only shot from distance Arteta took. He laced it in the first half and it came off the crossbar, he really needs to do this more often, he certainly did it more at Everton!

I was thinking that the other day. Its been ages since ive seen a 30+ yard howitzer from the Arsenal, we used to do it all the time. I assume its not part of our plans for possession domination..

Agree with the Spuds thing as well. It wasnt too long ago i felt like one of the few voices on here screaming out that the Spuds havent got a better team than us....

Wheres that doom merchant thread gone?

yes, but imagine if we carefully considered who we wanted and then got the business done long before the season started
