"If we lose Fabregas and Nasri - you cannot convince people you are ambitious after that"

On 23/08/2011 Arsenal Football Club and Wenger confirmed that Arsenal football club are no longer an ambitious club.

I will have a bet with anyone who is willing to take Newcastle will finish ahead of us. They are a club that want to improve and signing players on the up. In fact right now they are more ambitious club than us.

Demba pappis Cisse is better than Ba for heaven sake. Anyone who follows German football will tell you this. What the hell is this scumbag club doing? Henry is their solution to a striker. I really want to hear wengers excuse when newcastle finisha head of us. They have too much money hahaha

i'll take it, how about the winner gets to shange the losers name sig and avatar... :arsenal3:

DIDN'T THINK SO

how about loser leaves the forum?

fine by me, but can't honestly see it happening, you're beginning to realise it's not going to happen now aren't you
so i'll take it you don't agree to the terms?

Im 100% convinced they will and thats why offered you the deal. you seem to think just because we are arsenal and they are newcastle, we have a defining right to finish ahead of them. I see one club on the up buying the right players with a clear vision and the other one who couldnt care less.

no I think this because we are better in nearly every position and we've got a lot of people to come back from injury. Get behind the team ffs

13th of May 2012 Arsenal beat West Brom 3-2 to finish 3rd ahead of Newcastle. Gooney is still yet to leave the forum...

oh right,, shame you get less points for that kind of win?
it was a nervy 1st half v bolton but in the 2nd half we took control of the game
the west brom game we controlled from start to finish and once we went in front at wigan we went thru the gears,
newcastle lost 3-2 at home to west brom, while we were grinding out a 2-1 win at aston villa.
3 points will always impress me

Yes, we were impressive in those games (and, depending on one's definition of impressive, some could even say that we were impressive in the Chelsea game too), but I'm sure most would agree that we're long overdue for a convincing 3 point victory over a team in the top half of the league table this season.

People betting against Arsenal!?!

It's going to be very VERY difficult finishing in the top four, and I'm certainly not overly optimistic about our chances... but I still think we'll finish above Newcastle.
