Baby Girls names, help!

Postby Trina » Wed Dec 07, 2011 8:41 am

As some of you have read, we had the scan on Monday and have found out we're having a baby girl :D

But, can we heck think of a girls name! We had a boys name lol.

I've searched pages and pages of names and still nothing stands out that I like.

Suggestions? :)

Roberta
Emanuelle (do people still use that name or has the porn star connotations killed it off?)
Jackie
Alex

For ours we tried saying them in broad accents to see how awful they sounded.

I quite liked the name Meredith but swmbo said no as she wasn't naming her baby after a dead girl. And I liked Pippa but swmbo said it was a pets name.

No offence but my o/h and I had this w/ a friend of ours trying to name her baby girl

I don't get the whole "We CAN'T Call our kid that! so-and-so's mums sister's babysitter is named that"

If you keep thinking like that Trina, you'll NEVER name your child as you'll always know SOMEONE with 'that' name lol.

But in the spirited tradition of helping... Here you go.

Abbey/Abbie/Abby

Aisling/Aileen

Alison/Allie/Alyson

Beth/Bethany

Breanna/Bree/Brandy

Bianca

Caitlyn/Caitlin/Cait

Cadence/Caedence

Chrissy/Christina

Catherine/Cathrine/Cathryn

Caroline/Carolyn/Caralyn

Charlotte/Charlie/Charley

Darcey/Darcie

Daisy

Deanna/Deanne

Debra/Deborah/Debbie

Ellen/Elan/Elaine/Ella

Erica/Erika

Erin

Emma/Emily

And that's not even a third of the way through the alphabet lol
